Tips to Love Your Body

— Treat your body like you would treat a friend.  As author Marcia Hutchinson states, “If you talked to your friends the way you talked to your body, you would have no friends left.”

–Self-talk is important!  Instead of criticizing yourself when looking in the mirror, find something to compliment about yourself.

–Start thinking and saying, “Life is too short to waste my time and energy hating my body.”

— Recognize and appreciate those traits that make you unique.  Make a list of things that make you beauty-full and celebrate your “YOU-ness!”

— Respect your body. The human body is an amazing machine and the vehicle with which you can accomplish your dreams. So, focus on all of the things that your body allows you to DO instead of simply what your body looks like.
